Information about the OvaCue Vaginal Sensor:
Actual demensions of this sensor are: 8.5\"L X .5\" Dia. (21.59cm x 1.27cm Dia.)
Measures electrolyte changes in vaginal mucus, that allows OvaCue to CONFIRM OVULATION, where as the oral sensor only allows for the detection of fertility days and the prediction of ovulation. The vaginal sensor should be used if the device is being applied for natural birth control as it is critical that the actual day of ovulation be known.
If you are uncertain about whether you are ovulating, the vaginal sensor will also give you a clear answer. It also gives you the added confidence that the OvaCue is indeed predicting your date of ovulation accurately.
Finally, by confirming ovulation it clearly marks the end of your fertile period (24 hours after you can no longer get pregnant). By request Natural Methods can provide special instructions by e-mail on how to use OvaCue for Natural Family Planning (NFP) to avoid conception.
Some OvaCue packages do not include the vaginal sensor. You can purchase one here at any time.
